In the UK, if you get a letter from a *law firm*, threatening action, you can post it publicly. Confidentiality on such a thing is your choice, not theirs.

At least it doesn't claim any UL or CE conformity - it would fail at the first hurdle on inspection - but that just leaves it not legal for sale.

While we are discussing DSP add ons, there's a bit of an elephant shaped panther in the room.. There's a lot of use of Roon and Roon filters going on. A big chunk of roon is a dsp processing and filtering - and very pricey too! I've never seen anyone measure the Roon's DSP performance. it...

If there's no suitable digital output to check the A/D converter, presumably you can set the unit to do A/D -> D/A. While that's not as good as raw testing the A/D it would give a good indication of performance...

Ha - thanks. You just mostly answered the question I was going to ask - why Harman? Their products don't suggest they know something that, for example, B&K don't? Also - you refer to "flat" speakers and headphone - but none of them are very flat. Is that error more significant than HRTF...

There's some comment over on DIYA that it measures poorly as it's tested at 4V which is out of the design spec. (in part, a way to try and blame ASR!!) What does the product spec actually say?
