Radiant Acoustics Clarity 6.2 - Purifi based compact speaker

It's screwed together from the inside of the cabinet. Woofers can be replaced but we'd rather do it locally in our service department. However, Purifi woofers are notoriously hard to kill so we don't believe it's going to happen very often, if at all :)

For reference: we tigthen the screws in the backplate with a torque of approximately 1.0 Newton Meter. (equivalent to approx. setting 11 on a Makita screwdriver)

Erin was kind enough to update this measurement as well. It does look better yeah, especially around 300 Hz.

I don’t believe this should be an issue on any of the speakers we have sold but I get what you mean! I’ll check with production tomorrow and post their answer here :)

Radiant Acoustics Clarity 6.2 - Purifi based compact speaker

Hi everyone Erin was so kind as to help us investigate the distortion peaks on his measurements that has caused some debate. It turns out it was a really practical issue; the aluminum backplate on Erin's early samples was slightly loose and rattled a bit as a consequence. I don't believe this...

Radiant Acoustics Clarity 6.2 - Purifi based compact speaker

Making a speaker involves making compromises - no speaker is perfect or can do everything. That’s part of what makes building speakers so much fun! Making the inside of the speakers look high end as well would have increased the cost a lot and no customers will ever see it, so what’s the point...

Radiant Acoustics Clarity 6.2 - Purifi based compact speaker

I was referring to the raw cost price of most budget/entry level speakers compared to the cost price of our crossover, not the retail price. Anyway, it was perhaps a stupid comment. What I wanted to say was: I think it’s a good crossover :)

Radiant Acoustics Clarity 6.2 - Purifi based compact speaker

Hey. Just to clarify here: all components in the crossover were selected based on very thorough objective measurements and subjective listening tests. We have of course tried out components from more expensive/more well-known brands. They didn't provide any major audible or measurable...

Radiant Acoustics Clarity 6.2 - Purifi based compact speaker

Of course! Is there any other way to develop loudspeakers? :D The speakers were developed using numerous and rigorous objective measurements - but also subjective listening tests in many different listening room and by many people, including myself and Peter Lyngdorf. The goal was always to...

No - but as earlier mentioned in the thread we've sent a set to Erin. Is there anything in particular you're missing?

Radiant Acoustics Clarity 6.2 - Purifi based compact speaker

Hey guys! Henrik Reinholdtsen from Nordic Hi-Fi here (the brand behind these speakers). The discussion about break-in has made me re-check with the guys from Purifi and they confirm that it shouldn't really be necessarry, as their drivers do not really change over time audibly - you might be...
