I don't follow how you're able to apply a correction using just the software, can you share the signal flow? I just purchased the ARC 4 system (stand alone box) for my main system and am trying to figure out if I can use the software to measure and perform a correction on a second system...

I had the MTM's before the KH80''s. Bottom line they began distorting way before the KH80's. I unfortunately didn't have them at the same time so can't give an A/B subjective on sound quality but the MTM's didn't have anywhere near the headroom before they got sloppy.

Does anyone know what changed with the firmware update? Mine just updated to 1.3.6 The Neumann site doesn't make it readily apparent. My hope is they fixed the finicky standby but I suspect that's a lower level hardware issue. (I had to manually update the MA 1 software to get the update)

Bottom line: No. In the end I just leave them on 24/7. The randomly changing LEDs and intermittent failure to wake up were collectively worse than whatever few dollars a year more in electricity or few years I'm shortening the lives of the monitors.

Sorry to dust off an old thread. I haven’t found any standby settings beyond the time setting. Did you see sensitivity or anything else related to standby? My KH80s keep waking up randomly.

Which one would be a better match for the Aeon 2’s? G5 or BTR7 (only going to use the SE output)? I love the power of the G5 but Fiio has a lot more experience on the firmware / software side that make me a bit gunshy on the G5.

I believe tweeters are the same component however the wave guide has been updated. ( it’s visibly different)
