SMSL DL200 the best ever value DAC/AMP?

Any measurements available besides the smsl's? Long thread, "old" device, no review from Amir, that is odd

    PEQ and a sound stage

@LIΟN , could you please elaborate on "This is not the same as applying a high-pass or low-pass filter" I am curious and would like to know more

    PEQ and a sound stage

So far I found my answer to EQ sound stage issue. EQ destroys soundstage if applied to non minimum phase regions. How to see those (please correct me if I am wrong): in REW open GD tab, remote all smoothing, then press cog icon on the right, then press "generate minimum phase", tick all boxes...

    PEQ and a sound stage

Some good read from REW on the topic: https://www.roomeqwizard.com/help/help_en-GB/html/minimumphase.html

    PEQ and a sound stage

I am grateful for all your suggestions people, please keep them coming! Also reading the references shared in this thread, quite a few things to digest!

    PEQ and a sound stage

As I mentioned before I don't understand how it works, people in this thread already suggested that PEQ may reverse the phase and do other damage to the signal. I heard it myself and that is enough for me: I don't see anything that should damage the stereo image on the measurements I provided...

    PEQ and a sound stage

Thank you a lot for the analysis! I am listening from 2.7m from each speaker. I figured out that I don't hear much of issues with EQ under 70. So will focus on cutting some 27Hz, 67(72)Hz. Will try the low Q in mids as well

    PEQ and a sound stage

Bass eq under 70 Hz seems to not affect stereo image most likely due to how we have issues identifying bass sources anyway

    PEQ and a sound stage

Separate EQ for L and R channels destroys stereo image: confirmed Method: used EQ boost and EQ cut to make response curve flat separately for L and R. Confirmed with follow up measurements of EQ applied via ADI-2 DAC. Used test Audiofile specifically designed to test stereo image. Locked...

    PEQ and a sound stage

@radix regards the eqs you provided. RME has limited controls. 1 and 7 PEQs are bass and treble with min q 0.5 and max 1.5. they are also not PK filters, but LS and HS respectively (as I understand). Filters 1 to 3 have max q of 9.9. 4 to 5 have max Q of 5. Max boost/cut is 12 db. It has...

    PEQ and a sound stage

Thank you Marc. I indeed used Harman curve. "No eq" measures are reference measurements without any eq. "eq" measurements are with "optimized" filters applied. "R fix eq" and "L+R fix eq" has R mirrored eq applied. In this sample, every channel was eqed separately: L with L optimized and R with...

    PEQ and a sound stage

Here it is. Measures of L and R as well as L+R before and after eq included eq filters as well. Note I am aware of L speaker placement issues, unfortunately can't move it much

    PEQ and a sound stage

Hey there fellow room eqers! So I got RME ADI-2 with 5 to 7 PEQ filters, bought an Umik and spend about 2 days crafting the best charts and understanding speaker placement. I have a full size speakers and great stereo system with ok room treatment (rather lacking). I got a lot of nice charts...

    WiiM Pro Streamer

That's an option, thank you. However, I will prefer wireless connection since projector is mounted on the ceiling.

    WiiM Pro Streamer

If that is so obvious, could you please tell me how to output sound from fire TV? It only supports Bluetooth and my projector don't have optical or coax out, so I have to rely on wireless connection. So far the only solution is to use 1Mii B06Ultra, but it looses connection once in a while and...

    SMSL DO300 DAC Review

I am torn between the do300 and the RME DAC fs. It's 3 times cheaper and I don't need an eq, but for some reason I think the do300 will be a worse purchase than the RME DAC.

I am so tempted to try the RME as well, but that's the topic for another time or when they upgrade it to a new chip.

    SMSL DO300 DAC Review

I was disappointed in do300ex, big time (but for other reasons than you might be). Anyway, d6s won the round as a Bluetooth receiver. For the DAC comparison, you may read the following off topic:
