They most likely have a promotional agreement. All BluOS devices support Qobuz AFAIK.

Where did you get this from? Other Bluesound and other BluOS devices use Qobuz.

I think you're right. Most of the unlit images I saw of it were renders rather than the real thing. Real thing does appear to be yellowish. Wish they'd gone for a cleaner white look like on the new Technics Class D amps. It looks so much prettier.

Assuming Bluesound don't completely shit the bed with the Node Icon, what does this much uglier unit have that the Icon doesn't, beside sub connections and an unproven room correction system (vs Dirac Live), at nearly 4 times the price.

Looks like a piece of cake. And since I have the same Wera hex keys, I can't really blame my tools if i fail. I can just ask the powder coaters to sand the edges off of the top panel and ream the LED holes - good advice.

They gave the usual concerned company view and strongly recommended against it. But a lot of stuff is super easy to disassemble and the manufacturers act like you're suggesting defusing a bomb with no training.

I think the writing should have been on the wall the moment we saw the superficial 'cooling fins'. I can't see much of their existing customer base being interested at this price. For me this probably means a Node Icon - which looks better featured (and cheaper) than the A8.

Marginal height change. But potentially better isolation and reduced vibration both into the floor and reflected back into the speaker body. It's difficult to see how the little pin receptacles (not really isolation pucks) can be that effective on the Kefs.

Still didn't make a final decision on amp .... But what are people's take on the integrated pins and pucks (not really pucks) that the R7 Metas come with? Should I swap out the pucks for suitable AliExpress pucks (which numerous acquaintances swear by), or are the odd looking Kef ones more...
