JTR Captivator 2400 vs RS1 group delay related question

Please help me understand why rooms larger than 3000 cubic feet won’t get room gains. I am still learning about these things.

JTR Captivator 2400 vs RS1 group delay related question

Thank you for the comments. Many people prefer sealed because of port chuffing at the limit etc. I certainly like the output headroom in the cap 2400 , but if I don’t need it because of room gain then I don’t have to go for it.

JTR Captivator 2400 vs RS1 group delay related question

my room is 5000 cubic ft, with 24ft the longest side. I am supposed to get room gain starting from 23.4Hz but I am not certain in reality how much I could get. I am attempting to build something that can get me 105db at 10hz and play reference past 20hz. Without room gain two JTR RS1s do not...

JTR Subs for HiFi and Music Primarily

I am hoping to get some input from some of the folks here with experience with JTR and Rythmik sealed subs. My goal: Bass at reference level till 10hz. My room: 5000 cubic feet sealed room 24 feet longest side of the room. Seems like I should be getting room gain below 23.5hz Two options...

Advice needed. Kali in-8 v2 vs Genelec 8030c vs Neumann KH 120 II

For the price Kali in8 v2 are very good and they need a good sub. I was able to grab new ones at $500. None of the two other speakers have coincidental drivers, if vertical dispersion is not an issue Nuemann Kh120ii will be my choice at almost 4x the Kali in8 v2s price.

Explaining sound bar vs LR speakers for stereo

Thank you for explanation. I would think imaging will be harder with a sound bar . Even given optimal room (if that exists) for a sound bar will the imaging the precise as recording intended. Frequency response and distortion can be measured but imaging so far I am not sure how to measure it...

Explaining sound bar vs LR speakers for stereo

How do I explain that a sound bar not spanning the length of LR separate speakers can’t match that stereo image of the LR speakers?.

    Rythmik E15 vs HSU ULS-15 MK2 / VTF-3 MK5 for below 20hz feel in large room.

With Audyssey HSU VTF-TN1 is flat from 15hz to 90hz flat around 90db in room.

    Rythmik E15 vs HSU ULS-15 MK2 / VTF-3 MK5 for below 20hz feel in large room.

I think mixing subs of different makes is more tricky ?. Do you have Minidsp etc ? Try REW simulator to find out few ideal spots ?

    Rythmik E15 vs HSU ULS-15 MK2 / VTF-3 MK5 for below 20hz feel in large room.

The space is large like 5000 cubic ft but seating distance for front speakers is 9ft and sub will be in a corner 16ft away. I went for a sub that has meaningful output at 20hz and below. loud enough for home theater use. With measurements available, reviewed by 3rd part with measurements. Low...

    Rythmik E15 vs HSU ULS-15 MK2 / VTF-3 MK5 for below 20hz feel in large room.

Got the HSU VTF-TN1 after some consideration. Will be integrating them with Kali in8 v2 using a Denon AVR. Will post REW in room measurements soon.

    R7 Meta amp choice advice

How far you are sitting from speakers and what levels you are listening to and if will use a subwoofer will matter when deciding an amp. Unless you don’t care about budget and then just get couple of 700w @ 4 ohm hypex or purifi mono blocks and don’t think about it .

Maximizing family listening enjoyment!? What techniques/equipment have you used?

Is that a painting or a tv ?. If it is a painting may be a smaller one can help your left speaker move a bit more to the right. May be you have to look into some absorption that can perform well at 200hz at side or back wall. May be 3.5inch panels?.

    Rythmik E15 vs HSU ULS-15 MK2 / VTF-3 MK5 for below 20hz feel in large room.

Rythmik subs do have low distortion but seems like other brands also match them closely. I like the low distortion of Rythmik F18 as tested by data-base.com . I wish third party tests are available for Rythmik E15 so I can compare against HSU 15” subs.
