AVR device with dirac bc, music and movie reproduction Any recommendations???Thanks♪(・ω・)ノ

You should probably be fine with a X3800h which is the cheapest of the Denon/Marantz AVRs that support Bass Control. The higher end models measure a bit better but I'm not sure if this will be audible. With the current situation around Marantz/Denon I definitely would not risk to spend 2K or...

Dan Clark NOIRE X Headphone Review

Really great work. These might be the new price to performance sweet spot in the DCA lineup. I do prefer the carbon look of my Aeon Noires and upgrading is probably not worth it but those new pads are a welcome change. The old pads get worn down and disintegrate pretty quickly if you...

    KEF R3 meta Measurements

The R3 Meta should in theory be cleaner because their frequency response is way more linear than the LS50 Meta. You will need to use EQ or room correction for the bass in any case though.

    KEF R3 meta Measurements

1200-1300 for a pair of R3 Meta is a crazy deal. I usually never see them for below 2200€ a pair. I would for sure go for the R3 meta. The LS50 will need a subwoofer and are output limited because of their smaller drivers and the Yamaha HS8 is pretty much outdated.

    Google Nest Audio Speaker Review

Wow, I wasn't expecting that level of performance for as low as 75€. I can't think of any speakers for 150€ that would beat a stereo pair of those and also have the same connectivity and as minimalistic looks; Maybe it's time to replace my echo dots which always drive me crazy.

    KEF Q Meta is Coming

I speculate that the kind of uni-Q drivers of the Q1 and Q3 probably didn't receive huge changes. But the 4" Uni-Q of the Concerto and towers seems to be a new design and might perform better.

    KEF Q Meta is Coming

Yes, I meant the Q Concerto which are 1200€ with their matching stands which cost 300€. At 1500€ they are just 100€ less expensive than the Q7 Meta towers. I think you really need the matching stands to match the aesthetic of the Q Concerto but at that price the Q7 might make more sense. From...

    KEF Q Meta is Coming

Is it really worth it to get the Q Concerto Meta with stands when the Q7 is just 100€ more?

    KEF Q Meta is Coming

I also like that they finally have an on-wall speaker with the Q4 Meta. But why is it 250€ more expensive (or +45%) than the Q1 which uses the same drivers?

    KEF Q Meta is Coming

That’s quite the price increase over the last gen Q Series. The build quality still looks like Q Series but the performance could possibly be more like the R Meta.

Most beautiful speakers in the world ?

We don't have a lot of Klipsch here in Germany but I think my local Hifi dealer has Avantgarde horn speakers. I might give them a try and see if there is truth to the horn speakers magic everyone talks about

Most beautiful speakers in the world ?

I never understood the hype around huge horn speakers like those Klipsch Jubilees. The whole point of a horn is efficiency and high SPL, which you do not need in a residential environment. They do look imposing though

Dan Clark Audio AEON 2 Noire Review

My Aeon Pads are already disintegrating. Should I replace them with new DCA Pads or get the Dekoni Sheepskin pads which should last a lot longer than DCA's synthetic leather? According to Dekoni, the sheepskin pads have a bit of a bass boost (probably because they're not ventilated like the...

    Fosi Audio V3 Amplifier Review

I'm in the process of selling my Denon integrated and replacing it with one of those small Fosi Amps for my desk setup. Will the V3 with the included 32V PSU have enough power for LS50 (in near field)? With roughly 64W into 4 Ohms, the LS50 should theoretically reach about 100dB@1m which is...

    Fosi Audio ZA3 Amplifier Review

Does anyone know if there are plans for a Fosi Audio Amp like this one that also includes a high pass filter for the amplified channels?

    KEF LSX II

I also think they would work well on a desk or in a small living room setup. I would also consider them but the lack of PEQ is a deal breaker for me. A Wiim with a pair of KH80 DSP will be about the same size and price with way better objective performance; although not as good looking as the KEF

    New mysterious Genelec monitors

Bigger speakers don’t produce a bigger soundstage. And the missing bass can be fixed with one or two subs. Will the 8381 sound great in a normal living room? Sure, but so will 8341, KEF R3 or Revel speakers with a sub

Are my bass traps not working? Some changes in var smoothed frequency response, but not much in ERB smoothed one.

I think the question is if lobing between the DBA and LCR speakers would become a problem. I never thought about this. I guess it's not an issue if they're close to the subs (as they usually are) and if you use steep low/ high pass filters.

Are my bass traps not working? Some changes in var smoothed frequency response, but not much in ERB smoothed one.

I've never seen a DBA being used up to those frequencies but in theory it should work. Crossover points of 80Hz or 100Hz are more common. Above that frequency you of course need absorption and bass traps to lower the reverb. I came up with those 137Hz by using the DBA formula which exactly...

Are my bass traps not working? Some changes in var smoothed frequency response, but not much in ERB smoothed one.

Sounds like an Endgame Stereo setup to me. I know that BACCH requires a lot of absorption but does the BACCH DSP also retrieve some of the liveliness of the recording that would otherwise sound way too dry with BACCH disabled in a room like that?
