    Onkyo TX-NR7100 AVR Review

I just upgraded my 3.4 without issue. Also, there's a new Dirac Live beta that just dropped a few days ago: https://www.avsforum.com/posts/63612411/

    JBL MA7100HP AV Receiver Review

You might also want to check out Lyrion Music Server (formerly Logitech media server) if you don't want to pay monthly fees for Roon. You can register with TIdal, Qobuz & Spotify and still play hires music through the 7100's UPNP renderer. It'll even update the media art on the display.

Fosi Audio V3 Mono Amplifier Review

Mine also just arrived with only one sticker. I ordered directly from Fosi's web site. Is one sticker guaranteed to be inverted or is there a visual way to verify by opening up the unit?

Yeah, this is in the basement HT area and I have limited options. Thank god for Dirac.

    Fosi v3 Mono - User Impressions | Owner's Thread

I just received my two monos from China yesterday. I have them hooked up to a DRX 3.4 and driving a pair of LSI9s which can go down to 2 ohms. I'm impressed at how much power the V3s can deliver. With the gain switch at 31db, I'm getting SPL levels in the 80 dBs with the volume level on the AVR...

    JBL MA7100HP AV Receiver Review

EZ Set EQ on the JBL is very basic. The subwoofer isn't even tested independently from the other speakers. I did not care for the results. Dirac is leagues better.

    JBL MA7100HP AV Receiver Review

No offense taken. I returned mine. I personally did like the aesthetics, but JBL missed on calibration. No one is discussing EZ Set EQ which is a joke of a room calibration system. I ran it multiple times but never liked the results. Listening to 2.1 stereo music was fine, even for my demanding...

    JBL MA7100HP AV Receiver Review

Firmware can be updated by ethernet. The first time I powered up my 7100, it began an auto firmware update via ethernet.

JBL goes Dirac Live ready and Class-D

You beat me to it. The last 5 minutes talk about sound quality . He gives it a good score for sound, considering it a tier 2 class ( RZ50 is in the same tier). He did say if you have less than an ideal room then the EZ Set EQ might not be sufficient and you might have to step up to Dirac to...

JBL goes Dirac Live ready and Class-D

It was one of the first things I went through before running EZSet EQ. My left front speaker sits next to a wall and I've had to set the level a few db below the right speaker which has no wall next to it. I'm using an old RadioShack SPL meter and tried the free NIOSH sound level meter for iOS...

JBL goes Dirac Live ready and Class-D

Could it be my speakers? I'm using Polk Audio LSI9 for fronts and an LSIC center channel. They're rated at 88db and 4ohms. They're known for craving a lot of power and might not be the best fit for this AVR. It probably doesn't help that my home theater is in a basement that is not closed off. A...

JBL goes Dirac Live ready and Class-D

@kyuu , finally have time to reply. I enjoy the sound of the JBL when playing stereo music in 2.1 mode. Unfortunately, I feel when watching movies it seems to have issues with the volume level not being uniform across my main front speakers and center channel. It's as almost as though the amp...

JBL goes Dirac Live ready and Class-D

It never went above 83 tonight. With the movie paused in a quiet room you can barely hear the fan.

That’s after just turning on the receiver. Let me get back to you after watching a movie.

JBL goes Dirac Live ready and Class-D

Well, this accessory might come in handy if you are installing the AVR in a cabinet with limited air flow. I bought it for my older receiver but not sure if I'll need for the JBL. I have a lot of clearance on top for air flow. I just put it on today so will report back what temperatures I see...
