Yeah apologies was veering off a bit there. Overall I'm super happy with the amp, despite the occasional lack of HDMI ARC sound. It's not like I've had smooth results using ARC across different TVs and other audio devices costing many multiples of the WiiM, so I will forgive it for now :)

I can hear the faintest of whines at about 5cm from the amp. Not a concern for me - totally inaudible at about 20cm away - and a lot quieter than the transformer hum I've had from a host of Cambridge Audio amps, which were all audible at my listening position. Still not solved the HMDI ARC...

If you’re not going to large party levels then yes fine. I’ve tried mine with a pair of MA Silver 50s and Triangle BR03s. Plenty of drive with both although the BR03s are more sensitive so do hit volume easier.

I think so - played around with so many settings I gave up for now. Chucked the optical cable in and using that; sounds great.

Not sure if you went for an external DAC, but there's absolutely no point in doing this if you use Dirac on the unit (rather than analogue direct), which I suspect you will as you liked the result. With Dirac on, you just end up with this: DAC (external) > ADC (internal) > Dirac (dsp) > DAC...
