Fosi Audio V3 op-amp rolling, has anyone tried it? Snake oil? Or are there actual differences?

As always what is missing is - the listening tests. What individual people hear - is what they hear. To insult what people hear and tell them they are deluded etc. etc. actually says a lot of those who repeatedly make these insulting comments. Being profiled individually by an experienced...

    Marantz CD6007 Review (CD Player)

At long last I shall undertake digitising about 3-400 LPs and about 100CDs. Question - I don't want or need to have any cover art or track info, I just want to have the LP info and nothing else - is this possible?

    Marantz CD6007 Review (CD Player)

    I had a 63KI and I have the 6007 - the 6007 is definitely better soundwise.

Fosi Audio V3 Mono Amplifier Review

Not surprising you've missed the point completely. Mark spent a lot of money putting together a completely analogue studio. He was interviewed on the brilliant BBC radio show Late Night Junction by Verity Sharpe. He wished he had put this project together a lot earlier, it would have cost him a...

Fosi Audio V3 Mono Amplifier Review

No, but then people listened to music instead of thinking about it, so a crap sound was easy to distinguish from good sounding equipment. There are a lot of people making negative psychological comments about 'others' who don't realise they are exposing their own irrational mentality. Of...

Fosi Audio V3 Mono Amplifier Review

You do know that Mark Knopfler built two studios, one digital and one all analogue. He was hacked off that he didn't build the analogue studio earlier as it cost a lot more than if he had built it earlier.

Fosi Audio V3 Mono Amplifier Review

Very good post, chock full of ironic truth that many will miss or ignore (doesn't suit their belief system). In the 70s the Japanese made amps that measured perfectly but sounded like shite. It used to be heresy to have bass and treble adjustment, which completely ignores the fact that a lot of...

Can someone confirm the value of the 2 carbon power resistors at the RCA output. Colour coding says they should be 8.2 ohms but mine measure 8.6 and 8.7. Was it a cost factor that Fosi chose carbon?

Fosi Audio V3 Mono Amplifier Review

Incredible, barring one word this is a very rational post. But then you drop in the magic word 'believe' You are the 'true believer' and the one with a chip on his shoulder projecting your belief syndrome on to others. You cannot possibly know how others 'hear' music, that is very arrogant but...

Fosi Audio V3 Mono Amplifier Review

Quote - This doesn't mean you have a hearing problem - it just means that your auditory system is just the same as all humans - I've read some bllocks in my time but you get a gold medal for that. Hilarious - all humans hear the same - now go and say that face-to-face with a trained and...

Fosi Audio V3 Mono Amplifier Review

Back in 2000 I bought speakers for my wife - Mission 73. The manufacturer specifically stated that adding (dry) sand to the base would aid performance. This was tested by a prominent hi-fi mag in the UK and found to be correct. For sure there is lots of b/s from manufacturers, so called gurus...

Fosi Audio V3 Mono Amplifier Review

Colour and transparency aren't technical terms and you are stating that all capacitors sound the same - I repeat you have a serious hearing problem. Have you ever had a bona fide hearing test?, if not, why not? If you havn't then you simply don't know how good or bad your hearing is - answer the...

Coupling caps - changing them can make a big difference. I've only once bought into the expensive audiophile thing and regretted it almost immediately - silver foil caps. They were good but the next week bought some cheap as chips Russian K73-16 PEPT ones, slagged off by some old American...

Fosi Audio V3 op-amp rolling, has anyone tried it? Snake oil? Or are there actual differences?

With a proper 'hearing test' conducted in a small anechoic chamber you are presented with a detailed result for each ear - no two people ever have the same result ergo each person will hear sound/music differently - this is not an 'opinion' but a scientific fact.

Fosi Audio V3 op-amp rolling, has anyone tried it? Snake oil? Or are there actual differences?

All hearing is subjective, it can't be anything else. The absolutists cannot accept this. It doesn't matter that a piece of equipment may measure 'perfectly' - 'optimum' is a better adjective to use. However each person will 'hear' differently. Even under 'perfect' D/B conditions no two people...

    Fosi v3 Mono - User Impressions | Owner's Thread

I think Fosi should take a good look at the rational comments made by many of us on this thread. Indeed this thread is a very good example of how a forum should operate - no trolls, just people inputting sensible suggestions and sharing useful info. which in turn generates more of the same...

    Fosi v3 Mono - User Impressions | Owner's Thread

The life of all equipment that experiences current inrush is shortened. It's always been recommended to leave CDPs on and it's something I've always done with the 3 CDP's i've used since 1990. We bought a Sony Brava TV which has been left 'on' since 2009 - works just fine and uses so little...
