    A Call For Humor!

Thats not how forums work in general. Just because it is a popular thread, does not mean we can just post random unrelated things for visibility.

Jerry Harvey (JH) Custom IEM Review

@ThatSoundsGood I get your points about customs for live stage work etc. But would you really recommend JH for a home user given price/performance and what else is available?

Jerry Harvey (JH) Custom IEM Review

JH was revolutionary in the live scene. The problem arose when the headfi fanboys put it on a pedastal for the average home user. This brand was hyped up so much, while being overpriced and underperforimg. JH was pushed as your salon2 or kef blade, 8381 etc.

    New March Audio Ukkonen Speaker

There are some speakers where the passive crossover is a liability, and it maybe worth considering ditching. March speakers dont fall into that category. If you really want to do it, speak to Alan about building you a set without crossovers, and appropriate wiring/binding posts. Maybe cheaper...

    Genelec 8351B Teardown (2nd Disassembled)

People complaining about Aus distributors is as old as the hifi industry in Aus itself. A Genelec 8361a retail price is about AU$300 more than overseas, you can easily get significantly more off. The Aus Genelec distributor provides great support and service through their dealer network. If you...

Dirac has a new CEO, new (DLBC) pricing, and some other Dirac rumors

They both target long bass resonances, Room Shaper is great for stereo applications from pc. Iam not sure you are correct in how it does this, like ART it uses "cancellation" signals, rather than shortening notes?? But you are correct, that like MSO - ART will even bass response across a wide...

    Genelec 8351B Teardown (2nd Disassembled)

There are some cheaper high performance speakers if you look around. But its not like dacs and amps where perfection costs peanuts. This may be about to change as some of the bigger Chinese based companies are getting into speakers. Look up Ascilabs from Korea, about to launch a spectacular...
