They will still sell ship loads. This device isn’t marketed at people that Airplay their music, well not the vast majority anyway.

I don’t think AirPlay supports Spatial Audio (yet). I believe you need an Apple TV

For those of us still learning, is this measuring the amp section or the DAC? A brief summary/conclusion would be most helpful. How does it compare to the DAC in the Pro Plus?

It actually doesn’t even do that, it samples everything to 48khz.

This obviously has to be to the chromecast audio puck yes? As the 2nd gen, Ultra and 3rd gen chromecasts all resample to 48kHz.

What’s the difference between rendering and decode?

This is interesting as I swear I read something on Amazons FAQ page to the effects of "Note: Amazon Music can only be played in Standard quality on Chromecast" which I cannot find now. Maybe something has changed recently Guess it’s irrelevant anyway as we can stream directly to WiiM.
