Ok I've sent my unit back. Shipping was $104 CAD which is around 1/4 of the unit cost. Will let you guys know what happens.

Maybe they didn't thermal cycle testing or a faulty batch of timer chips.

Haven't learned how to solder yet, despite graduating from an EE program a few years ago, lol. Probably going to send it back for repair.

There is a connector under the SMSL-9n but I don't think it's intended for end user use.

I was looking through the driver settings (version 5.30) and I notice that the same output format is listed twice. Does anyone else settings look like this?

The tests on the site are pretty quiet, no way I can listen to normal music at that volume.

Would the A30pro be sufficient for driving the HE6SE v2 with eq, or should I get the A90? I would prefer to get the A30pro as I can place it on top of my SMSL SU-9n while the A90 would need to be placed somewhere else.
