RCA to XLR converter with +6DB boost

a DAC with damping factor concerns? a DAC's XLR output should be able to drive a dozen XLR inputs. (but I don't think that would ever be necessary)

    Electrical cable as speaker cable

Well the CCA (copper cladded aluminum) sold as loudspeaker cable is of dubious quality. It may not be the claimed AWG and it may not be the best alloy. Inductance will depend on how the conductors are bonded together. Now the aluminum used by the power company has lower resistance per dollar.

    Electrical cable as speaker cable

Those "some people" are not hard to find. They hang-out at many audiophile and semi-pro audio forums. They repeat many misunderstandings, myths and 'snake-oil' propaganda.

    Stereophile and Audio Cables

Above about a half megahertz a well manufactured cable will have a Radio Frequency Characteristic Impedance. But the above pair's impedance will change depending on how tightly it is twisted.

What cables do you use in your systems?

The only differences in reasonable (line level, analog) interconnect cables are in the areas of noise end interference. Both of these problems are very situation specific.

Connect wire shield to only one side

With line level XLR balanced interconnects, the shield is sometimes only connected at the 'send' end. But that will hurt RF interference rejection, so they make a hybrid connection at the receive end using a RF capacitor. With phantom powered microphones, the shield needs to be connected at...

    How to wire 4 subs....

You can wire a pair of identical subs in series or parallel to the same amp output channel. But in parallel the low total impedance may be hard on the amplifier. Do not wire different types of subs to the same amp output channel.
