    Gaming Headphones Better Than Sundaras

Hi. I have some Sundaras which I use for music, movies and gaming at home. I keep toying with the idea of buying some other headphones primarily for gaming but when I read into it I end up sticking as there are a huge amount of opinions out there and the Sundaras always seem to come out as one...

    Mobile audio setup recommendations

For a Bluetooth Receiver pretty much everyone is going to recommend a Qudelix 5k, not sure of the price in Euros but I believe 100 - 150. I use the Apple USB Dongle and it's fine for most IEMs, it's about 10 Euros and I have some Trurthear Hexas which I do really like, no idea on Euro prices...

    DAC+AMP combos(single units) vs separate DACs and AMPs(stacks) ?

I went for a stack SMSL HO100 and DO100 as I needed an analog in, most of the combination units in my price range don’t offer this apart from some of the Fiio ones which weren’t reviewed here.

Best headphone for people wearing glasses

I wear glasses with my Sundaras a lot and have no issues

Cheap (£70) 'open' sounding headphone/earbud/IEM recommendations needed!

Yeah the bass boost is decent, I use it with my Sundaras. You could always try equalising, there are a lot of threads on here about it. I use Equaliser APO on my PC.

Cheap (£70) 'open' sounding headphone/earbud/IEM recommendations needed!

Have a look on Crinacle’s website and You Tube videos, he does a good one on gaming headphones. Interestingly he says his favourite under £150 is the Koss KSC75 which is about £20. If you don’t play FPS games you may want to think about something less gamer ish as the neutral bright sounding...

Cheap (£70) 'open' sounding headphone/earbud/IEM recommendations needed!

Truthear Hexa AKG 702 Hifiman 400se - there are often sales on the Hifiman web site. Sennheiser hd560 - if you can find a deal I own the Hexas and they are pretty nice, described as neutral with bass boost. AKG 702 is supposed to be great for gaming but can be a bit bright for music, loads of...

Xbox Series X support for external DACs

I gave up with the search for a DAC. I now have a splitter in my controller connected to a mic and line out, the line out goes into a SMSL HO100 via an RCA splitter, the mic is a lavalier one that clips onto your headphone wire, it has a long thin lead which is wound around the line out then...

    Which in ear headphones

Sennheiser HD600 have a neutral sound signature according to the headphone database Crinacle has compiled. You could look for a neutral tuned IEM using his IEM rankings, I've found his judgement to be pretty good. The Sennheiser IEMs look ok but there are better, cheaper ones IMO...

    Closed Back Choices

Hi. Thought I'd update to let you know I am using my new Truthear Hexas today and they are very nice, much more comfortable than my Moondrop Chus and they have a very nice sound. I went for the Hexa over the Zero as the reviews suggested they were more neutral sounding which I prefer. Thanks...

    Closed Back Choices

I don’t really find them comfortable for long periods. I bought some Moondrop Chu just to try out IEMs and they are ok but I found I’m not really keen on them for long periods. I’m having a rethink and I think you are right about the isolation and heat on the tube so I am thinking about buying...

    Closed Back Choices

Just re-reading and the lack of noise cancelling maybe an issue. Will do more research, appreciate the advice.

    Closed Back Choices

Thank you. I will look into those headphones. I know a perfect solution doesn’t exist but something that I can enjoy music on without feeling too much like I am missing out by not listening to it on my Sundaras. I have some IEMs and they are ok (Moondrop Chu) but I don’t really like having them...

    Closed Back Choices

Hi I am soon to be moving to London and would like a pair of closed backs to take around with me for the tube and work. I have a pair of Sundaras which I use at home and especially enjoy the detailed sound and the wide soundstage. I would like to get as close to this as possible with a closed...

    SMSL DO100 Review (Stereo DAC)

Hi further update. I think part of the issue was that I had already set up the DAC as a Bluetooth device so windows was defaulting to that rather than setting it up as a USB device. I removed it as a Bluetooth device today and Windows recognised it straight away.

    SMSL DO100 Review (Stereo DAC)

So I finally got windows security to allow the download and it worked. Haven’t been able to mess about with the settings etc yet but it’s looking good. Will do a refresh windows install tomorrow as well. Thanks for the help, much obliged. Edit: just an fyi in case this helps anyone else. It...

    SMSL DO100 Review (Stereo DAC)

Hi. I bought this about a week ago and the USB does not appear to work at all. I’m using windows 11 and my DAC does not show up. I switched the cable and also tried connecting via cable to my iPhone using the camera kit but nothing. Tried both USB modes each time. There are drivers on the SMSL...

which headset do you recommend for gaming?

Crinacle reccomends the Koss KSC75, I havent tried it but he knows his stuff. You would need a lav mic and a splitter which are pretty cheap.
