    Aiyima A07 Max Amplifier Review

Sure, but my point is if his maximum power consumption based in his setup (room, speakers, etc...) is por example 20w total( I'm just assuming because actual measurements had not been published). Then why people are si worried about a power supply not been able to mantain an output of more than...

    Aiyima A07 Max Amplifier Review

Please play music as loud as you (or your neighbors) can tolerate while using a power meter, and then come back to publish your results. I'd be surprised if you use more than 10W per channel.

    Aiyima A07 Max - Aiyima's new TPA3255 amplifier with mono/stereo output

The only possible explanation to why people say those amplifiers sound better with a 48V power supply(and I believe that probably some specific power supplies from specific brand and model) is because the power supply might produce a cleaner power, and not because of the higher voltage. I...

    Aiyima A07 Max - Aiyima's new TPA3255 amplifier with mono/stereo output

With the volume knob at 12 o'clock only 10% of the input signal passes through. If you have a 2V DAC at 0dBFS, then the same DAC produces 0.5V with mus8c at -12dBFS. This means that only 0.05V reaches the amplifier. And assuming 29dB gain or x30 amplification then the output voltage is a mearly...

    Aiyima A07 Max - Aiyima's new TPA3255 amplifier with mono/stereo output

Well, I think that what you should return is the 48V power supply, because it is pointless. I doubt you need more than 10W. Right now I'm listening at higher than regular volume and it's not consuming more than a single watt (above idle). The unit consumes 4.5W ON and no music playing. What is...

    Aiyima A07 Max - Aiyima's new TPA3255 amplifier with mono/stereo output

The difference I understand is that on A07 MAX you configure the chip to work in mono mode and hence you get more power from that single channel (both channels working at the same time) If you use 2 A07 PRO or 2 V3 and connect a single RCA cable to each amp, then you only get power from one...

    Aiyima A07 Max - Aiyima's new TPA3255 amplifier with mono/stereo output

Hello. Measured how?. At the power outlet? It does not mean that's the power delivered to the speakers. You need to consider losses at the power supply section and the class AB. Probably a 20W is what each speaker might be receiving. You should be OK with the A07 MAX even in stereo mode. What's...

    O-NOORUS D3 - TPA3255 Amp with ES9023P DAC, NJW1194 Vol Control with remote

I kinda have a good eye: It says 63v. It most be the same Nippon Chemi-Con capacitor used in V3

    3E Audio 260-2-29A : TPA3255 / HA3588 CoilCraft / PFFB Fully differential.

One question. That sensitivity seems very low That sensitivity seems very low. Considering music plays at -12 to -20dBFS. To produce 1w at 4ohms you need 2V at the amplifier output. If you use a balanced DAC with 4V at 0dBFS, this means that for music you only get 0.4V to 1V. With a 16.5dB...

    O-NOORUS D3 - TPA3255 Amp with ES9023P DAC, NJW1194 Vol Control with remote

Yes, sure. Unless you really want a remote control, digital volume control and a real subwoofer out.

    O-NOORUS D3 - TPA3255 Amp with ES9023P DAC, NJW1194 Vol Control with remote

Now that you mention it. Maybe not. I don't see any relays or switches to change from each source. Probably the ESS Dac is only used by optical and coaxial inputs. Leaving BT and USB to be handled directly the each chip(Realtek and Qualcomm), and then all 3 outputs plus Line In (3.5mm) go into...

    O-NOORUS D3 - TPA3255 Amp with ES9023P DAC, NJW1194 Vol Control with remote

This is a very nice all-in-one amp with quality components. My only complaint is the 3.5mm jack instead of RCA. So, this means we need an adapter or a RCA to 3.5mm jack cable. Those output filter inductors are bigger and better than the 2-in-1 inductors used on the V3, A07 PRO, A07 MAX and...

    Aiyima A07 Max - Aiyima's new TPA3255 amplifier with mono/stereo output

Our fellow @robertospeed shared this picture: If both amp are one on top of the other then you can use a single RCA cable to connect to each amp Left RCA

    Aiyima A07 Max - Aiyima's new TPA3255 amplifier with mono/stereo output

How exactly did you do the measurement? Current should to be measured in series, and you require a load. What did you use to load the PSU? I'm curious.

    Aiyima A07 Max - Aiyima's new TPA3255 amplifier with mono/stereo output

I'm not sure about this. You almost got it. It should be Left and Right from your source (Wiim/DSP/DAC) into the Left RCA input on each amp. Instead of using that extra 3.5mm to RCA cable to connect one amp to the other. Aiyima said that when using the amp in mono mode, the Left RCA should be used.

    Aiyima A07 Max - Aiyima's new TPA3255 amplifier with mono/stereo output

A question for all who have already tried the A07 Max. What is your opinion sound quality wize?. What other amplifiers have you compare against it? I have the original Aiyima A04. The one with black Tilear pcb and Elna capacitors. I have the new A04 "pro" with tones controls and finally, I have...

    Aiyima A07 Max - Aiyima's new TPA3255 amplifier with mono/stereo output

No, I was showing the real power that the amplifier can get. It is a combinations of many factors: amplifier gain, input signal(real music or test tones), Power supply voltage, power supply current. Not just because you use a PS with 36V and 6A = 216W then you will magically get 108W per...

    Aiyima A07 Max - Aiyima's new TPA3255 amplifier with mono/stereo output

It sounds about right. With a 29dB Gain (x28.18). 1Vrms in = 28.18Vrms out. 28.18^2/8ohm=99.26W (Max theoretical). Can a 36V DC Power supply provide that power? Let's see... if 36V is the maximum swing (peak) the output can get before clipping. That means the rms voltage of that output signal is...

Help with odd problem: SMSL AO200 emits hissing sound only when connected to a tweeter

I think one choke on each positive and negative terminals it's required. These are BTL not SE amplifiers anymore. So, in theory the "negative terminal" is not ground. It's an inverted output signal. It's better to "filter" each output equally. I'm no expert, I might be wrong. The other thing to...

Help with odd problem: SMSL AO200 emits hissing sound only when connected to a tweeter

Hello, and welcome. Would you explain a little bit more? Those speakers have separate terminals for Woofer and Tweeter linked by a jumper. Can you try feeding woofers and tweeters separately? just to confirm and isolate the issue. Then try adding one choke (2 per speaker) to each terminal/cable...
