Typo. Of course I meant w sub.

    AV123 / GR Research X-Voce Speaker Review

The model has not been tested with EQed speakers so there is all reason to doubt. Btw one reason is that the on axis response is weighted quite heavily in the score. The rationale is that uneven response and jaggyness is seen as a proxy for resonances. That assumption does not hold when you use...

    AV123 / GR Research X-Voce Speaker Review

The EQ no Sub score on this speaker is 7.8. So yes, the model does not apply for EQed speakers. I did not write that the model is wrong. EQed speakers were not in the sample of the Toole/Olive paper which derived this model.

    AV123 / GR Research X-Voce Speaker Review

The fact that this speaker does get an EQ 7.8 rating w/o subs is showing again that the model is only applicable to non EQed speakers.

Trinnov Altitude 16 Review (AV Processor)

Delay is not the same as an all pass.

    Starting setup, X1700H vs X2800H (or DRA-800H?)

Try to get the cheapest Denn AVR with Audyssey MQ XT32. Maybe you can find some Denon X3400 or upwards.

    Tekton M-Lore Speaker Review

I wish amir could get hold on some DTZ cinema speakers. Imo thea execute the multi tweeter beamforming much better als the tweeters are mounted really close to each other and they cross them over at 2.2KHz. Only one tweeter in the middle is going all the way up, the other ones are lowpassed at...

are there differences in AVR surround sound/dsp capability through better ,,logic/processing''?

Point is that this youtuber claims that even without enabling this sort of correction the Sony sound better.

are there differences in AVR surround sound/dsp capability through better ,,logic/processing''?

That strawman doesn't impress me. Credits in a movie are credible proof that someone played in a movie. That's basically why they are called credits. Some "binaural" recording of a system of some random youtuber listened to with some random headphones on some random head doesn't mean a thing...

No you can't. Period. Pleas stop making judgements about sound quality via some binaural recordings.

They won't. They also showed up in the test of the 530 from 2020.

    JBL Studio 590 Speaker Review

Higher order byproducts of 10KHz is probably not audible. Many of us dont even hear anything meaningful at 10KHz. The 1,4KHz distortion is more troublesome. However people are right when they say 2nd order distortion is not nearly as audible (and does not sound really bad) as one might suggest...

There will be no X3900 this year. You are overthinking.

    Denon 2023 range X3900H/X4900H/X6800H announcement....!!??

It means nothing when SINAD is driven by distortion (which it is in this case). BTW the dynamic range for program material is usually lower than 10 db (thanks to loundness wars) so the 96 db as itself does not really mean much. What are you using the AVR for? Are you using the internal amps? If...

    Denon 2023 range X3900H/X4900H/X6800H announcement....!!??

It is called availability bias. You judge the AVR based on the data that is available not on the data that is important.

    Denon 2023 range X3900H/X4900H/X6800H announcement....!!??

They can change the DAC like they did before without a new model. Still don't see why the TI DAC is such a problem.

No, it is supposed to be the opposite of that.

GLM still is a regular Room EQ and does not use a MIMO type approach.

In the Audioholics interview Phil Jones also mentioned that they do not see the point in keeping up a product cycle of one year and that it will be more like 3 years. I dont find atm but it must be on some of the 2020-22 videos with them and audioholics. It alos makes sense since the 1 year...
