You’ve got me thinking about possibly installing an in wall center above the tv… anybody know whether kef’s in wall speakers around this price range are going to be an improvement over a phantom channel With the R3’s? Or an improvement over using ascends accoustics duo v2 center?

will certainly hold off getting the center for now. Thanks for all the advice.

The ascend acoustic duo v2 center would be better than all of these soundbar looking centers? Even if pairing with the R3’s? At that point would I be better off just going with a pair of ascend accoustics bookshelf speakers instead of the R3’s?

Thanks! I was contemplating those Kef center speakers. Correct me if I’m wrong - They actually appear to be 3 channel soundbars that can be turned into a center channel with an adapter.

Re. in wall center - Not much room between the tv and mantle. Also, I have a mantlemount bracket. So, when I pull the tv down it’ll sit right in front of the center speaker.

Is the goldenear supersat 50c such a drop in quality compared to the R3’s?

The right front speaker will have 12” or so from the wall behind it. Can I use the foam plug for the left one and not the right?

Sorry, I meant the R3’s will be the fronts but will be fairly close to the wall behind them. And, the sound bar is the goldenear supersat 50c which looks like a soundbar but is actually a center channel speaker.

Probably going to go with the R3’s. My wife even signed off on the walnut color one. There’s a chance I won’t be able to fit the R2c when I’m looking to get a center speaker. Would it be terrible if I eventually matched them with one of the low profile Kef sound bar/ center channel speakers...
