Just to repeat: only 1.87 works. 1.88 does NOT!

Yes, upgrade your firmware on the D90SE to the 1.87 version. Note that the later 1.88 version does NOT work. It has to be 1.87. I spent ages trying to resolve that exact same problem and finally tried the upgrade. Eureka!! Good luck.

For what it's worth (?), I have moved onto using Genelec monitors and subs, BUT I can say that I had a pair of bridged AHB2's driving my old Revel F208's and I have nothing but praise to laud (even now) on that pairing. Marvellously subjective!

As completely counter intuitive as it seems, in downgrading from 1.88 to the recommended 1.87 everything WORKS!!! Glorious TV sound with no dropouts. Apologies to those who recommended this fix and were ignored. And thanks to all.
