You don't seem to understand the word "standard", nor do you seem to want proper overhead for music, which the "old" standard provides.

That may be true, but standards are standards, and .316v is the consumer 0db standard voltage and 1.228v is the pro standard. If you have greater input / output capabilities, then just adjust to your liking given your particular equipment.

I have JBL 305p MkII professional powered speakers. I set the input sensitivity of them to -10dbv and the volume knob at mid. This gives good results. (DM7 is at default 4v, connector is TRS to TRS)

Yep. Tried it. Mappings seems to work on PCM. Don't know about pure DSD because all I can get is noise.

No volume control or DSP at all. Have I installed drivers properly? I think so , the Asio+DSD: topping USB Audio Device - 5ch driver is working with the DM7. The Foobar output spec is DSD128 | 28224kbps | 192000 hz | 5ch and the DM7 reports PCM 192kz and all 5 channels are playing.

Yes, I've tried with DSD Transcoder. I have seen foobar output that was DSD 128 but the result to the DM7 is always noise.

I didn't think I had to uninstall anything. SACD is set for multichannel. DM7 is set for DAC 0db.

Well, using your link, I installed Asio + DSD and was able to set output to ASIO + DSD: (Topping USB Audio Device), but when I set SACD config to DSD, I get horrible noise only. The Foobar2000 registers DSD128 | 1764 kbps | 5644800 hz | 5ch and the DM7 reports DSD 11.28mhz. But no music, just...
