It should be possible. I don't think that 12V trigger out actually powers anything, at least it shouldn't. It should be just a signal. If you have an ammeter, you can check.

I'm using E70V with Nvidia shield (USB) and phone (BT) no clicking or breaking.

I haven't noticed that when changing BT sample rate. Just tried, it mutes, changes sample rate, unmute. Maybe the phone is doing that, not sure. What kind of connection are you using?

I build something similar not so long time ago for butkicker :D I think I use 470 ohm or something like that. Too lazy to open RCA now, sorry. With a remote, I can change E70V output to XLR, RCA or both. I have active (Adam audio) speakers and subwoofer. Btw, line out has internal impedance...

It's simple to build. You just just need two resistors (about 1k) in series between left and right, and take signal between them to sub. Ground remains as is. You can even hide them inside RCA. Of course, you need soldering iron :)

It's still good idea to lower the output, input to your preamp.

I'm just curious, are those capacitors audiophile editions? Do they need to be used, burned with specific music for a while to align with the rest of the system and provide a desirable, soulful audio experience? :)

Auto turn will turn on device/wake up from the standby and select a valid source. But only from the standby. If, for example, two sources are valid and one gets disconnected, it will not switch to another. Even worse, it will go into the standby mode. Disconnecting and connecting another, valid...

Did you try to increase volume on the phone? Or both, Topping and the phone. It could be that bt volume on the phone is too low or off.

Well, once more, why insisting on 5V if with 4V you don't have such issues?! I didn't even bother to try 5V with my Adams.

Why do you want to use 5V if 4V works perfectly? Maybe L70 input is not designed for a higher input signal. However, I would expect a distortion not a pressure. Higher input signal is not necessary better ;)
