Digital MEMS speaker - Flat frequency response

I was actually thinking of the 65 inch surface in the middle of my living room. that is surely enough surface area even for the lowest lowest of frequencies.

Is baffle shape really important? What about these ideas?

Honestly most speaker designers default to the rectangle shaped baffles because that's the easiest one to make, lets not fool ourselves. I see no reason not to make interesting smooth shaped baffles to fit the radiation pattern that you want. Everything less than the ideal spherical shape is a...

this obviously has baffle step compensation right? you can't really compare it then. it doesn't make sense.

Is baffle shape really important? What about these ideas?

    Streamer with FIR support?

From someone who went down this path, i really recommend getting an AVR, something with confirmed and/or have support for Dirac. Unless you really love the process of getting good sound (with unreliability as a cherry on top) and is one of the main reasons you’re doing this and you have...

    Streamer with FIR support?

lets say that you have a record player or a TV or a CD player .etc these source will not receive the processing.

    Streamer with FIR support?

I have often found the best way forward is to keep the streaming and processing seperate (at least physically). Roon is a great way to go about things if you're a library/Tidal/Qobuz person.

    Apple TV 4K sound quality

the Apple TV 4K should be bit perfect for anything on Apple music (with an AVR downstream). Unless you play the Hi-Res tracks. But i wouldn't fixate on that.

How NOT to set up speakers and room treatment ( Goldensound)

Anything that uses samples (basically anything that isn't recorded in a venue) is recorded and mixed in usually a very dead environment. this has been going on since the 60s even. No one wants noise from the other room next door or any of the issues that come from recording in a regular room in...

How NOT to set up speakers and room treatment ( Goldensound)

I would like to further support this with my own measurements from my room. This absolutely works. https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/room-treatments-in-the-real-world.10670/post-1308751 Ofcourse it's not going to sound like a big/treated room where that mode doesn't...

How NOT to set up speakers and room treatment ( Goldensound)

The recommendation for RT60 values is between 200 and 400 ms for a reference mixing room. So far you have provided no evidence on why what they’re doing is wrong.
