I ended up hearing them both and preferred the 24. Now I need to find a math wiz to turn the supplied frequency response from audeze to match it to the harman target.

the only thing that kinda worries me is that the 24 has a few dips in the highs compared to the X and I am not sure if thats equable.

I don't mind EQ, I do it either way on my hd800s. Glad to hear they perform, I've actually listened to LCD-X but it was less than ideal conditions and I couldn't EQ it, so the bass was very faint. Is there any significant difference between the X and the 2 in the bass?
