    KEF Ci250RRM-THX

As Atmos speakers they would be perfectly fine. My comment was limited to using any in-ceiling as an LCR isn't a good idea.

Interesting article study about loudness perception between loudspeakers and headphones.

Sean Olive posted this a earlier today, pretty interesting on the science side https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fpsyg.2021.623670/full

    Denon AVR-X4800H AVR Review

Currently DLBC is what most want and it's not bundled with Onkyo/Pioneer (at least it wasn't the last time I checked). So people are still paying for what they want. I don't see D/M ditching Audyssey after investing money into them just a couple a years ago and I view these add-ons just like I...

Audio out USB port or ?

They don't out of the box, you have to side load an app, in other words it's a PIA. I think he was asking not telling...

Audio out USB port or ?

That's how I do it, but with active speakers in a couple of bedrooms. The inexpensive Topping and SMSL DACs that Amir has measured would work fine, some have slightly different features, ie XLR and RCA outputs vs just RCA and headphone amplifiers, etc..

Audio out USB port or ?

Just get a DAC and use the optical out from the display and you're all set.. example Topping EX series.

    Denon AVR-X4800H AVR Review

Manufacturers do this all the time, some have different for the bed layer and the height channels. For Zone 2 applications it's really not that big of deal, as the VC mostly like will be the bottleneck in measurements.

I'm guessing you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the DACs and when those Ti DACs where used in TOL products no one was complaining about their sound quality then. ;)

    Denon AVR-X4800H AVR Review

I'm not doubting that, I was just relying what has been discussed as the minimum for effectiveness relating to HT. I'm have no doubt that they can show an improvement over a 2ch system base measurement. Just how much and wasn't the goal intended for multichannel?

That was my understanding and multiple subs is the minimum requirements for effectiveness.

    Denon AVR-X4800H AVR Review

Surprisingly, to many, it's above 100hz to about 1500hz where there is a tremendous amount of energy, that's why so many "compromised" center channels sound like garbage.

StormAudio ISP 16 MK2 Review (AV Processor)

The answer won't be what you're expecting and I'd look over his setup before starting down this road, lol. If you can convince Andy to move from his preferred setup for a modern one, good luck.

First Martin Logan Speaker?!?! Which one

You say you have an OB currently so I'm assuming you have a room that can handle a dipole speaker? ML panels are way more finicky with placement then most of the OBs I've heard, FWIW. Also, don't get a small panel, you'll regret it.

    Subwoofer/DAC for Genelec 8020d or 8030c

Just remember that amplifier power has to do with design and not a tool to base performance on. Ported designs, especially larger ones, need less power typically. The amplifier is just their to acheive the desired goal of the designer.
