    New Purifi amplifiers coming

The one and only advantage of the 7040 over the 1ET400A is the power in very difficult loads. All the other metrics are equal or not as good. The 9040 is better than the 1ET400A for all the metrics (at the exception of price).

Any amp repair guys on asr that every one trusts?

May I suggest taking a picture of the solder joints and post it?

    New Purifi amplifiers coming

    From the THD+N vs power curve: THD+N -110 dB @ 0.4W 8R gives 5.6 uV UWT THD+N -120 dB @ 4W 8R gives 5.8 uV UWT THD+N -120 dB @ 9W 4R gives 6 uV UWT

    New Purifi amplifiers coming

Until last week I was wondering if we would do anything with it. Then I saw some performance curves which were just insane. Now I feel that we have no other choice than doing something around this module. What, when and at which cost are questions remaining to be answered.

    New Purifi amplifiers coming

A lot of them come from TI. They already tried if something could be done ;).

    New Purifi amplifiers coming

Apparently there are no reliable GaN FETs currently available for this application. SIC is interesting for ultra high power amps (for live events in example).

Looking for a class D amp that goes down to DC or thereabouts....

I need you to understand that my time for arguments with harmchair engineers ended. Again, goodbye.

Looking for a class D amp that goes down to DC or thereabouts....

So if I read you well, if RME adds a filter because broken sources exist (sometimes there is even DC in the recording), it's OK, if we do the same, we are wrong... Makes sense... Multitone says everything about distortion around 20 Hz. Maybe you should consider the enventuality that I know more...

Looking for a class D amp that goes down to DC or thereabouts....

I guess that because something is easy and cheap, it's not good, right? - frequency response: - Distortion: - shutting down the amp as soon as there is a tiny DC in the source sounds like a great plan... As far as I know RME doesn't make power amps and T+A uses the mechanism used in the...

Looking for a class D amp that goes down to DC or thereabouts....

Nothing. This is why we added a high pass in our more recent offering. These are audio amplifiers, not soldering stations.

Looking for a class D amp that goes down to DC or thereabouts....

Because you have DC response by default and need to add components to have a high pass. The protection is to ensure that supply rails are not shorted to the speaker. There is nothing to be avoided at 20 kHz.

Looking for a class D amp that goes down to DC or thereabouts....

No, because the output stage protection will trigger above 10 V. But in theory you should be able to get 200 W into 2 Ohm. Never tried tbh. Until thermal protection triggers of course.

Looking for a class D amp that goes down to DC or thereabouts....

DC coupling means DC in, DC out. Short circuit to ground detection is not done based on voltage but on current (too much = SC). DC is also measured at the output of these amps, not for speaker protection but to diagnose a failure of the output stage where the supply rail would directly go to...
