Magico S3 NFS Spinorama and comparison to Revel F228Be

I agree, a properly setup/measured multichannel system with quality source material for me, surpasses anything I can achieve with stereo. Actually I find its not even close. The bigger/more complex the music eg. symphonic the bigger the differences. Mind you, sometimes the only way to experience...

$30K Budget - On the quest for my "end game" speaker

Look here for physical solutions for Roon. https://rooextend.com/index_en.html Have not tried it myself as my Okto controls volume but I think DrCWO is a member here

$30K Budget - On the quest for my "end game" speaker

@MKR Not sure if you have seen/heard the Wisdom Audio line arrays. Has a lot of the attributes that you are after, I personally thought they were better than the D&D 8c. Allthough the 8c Studio is the best value for money.

    A comparison of convolution engines

@mitchco - are there any alternatives to Dirac Active Room Treatment on the horizon? Looks like the next big step in convolution?

Monitor Audio Bronze 2 VS Genelec 8030C

Sounds like there is an issue with a component or cable in your existing system if you have hiss. Have you tried working it out? Active speakers are generally more prone to noise/hiss, particularly with poor quality sources. The Genelec/Denon combo works well as you can fine tune gain in both...

The quest for my hyper speaker - Very Large room dilemma

Recenty Recently got to hear the Wisdom line source. I rated them higher than the amazing D&D 8c, the Wisdom could also go cazy louder. Very expensive though.

Active Speakers for New Listening Room

What about the Dutch and Dutch 8c studio? Significantly cheaper than the 8c, same sound, and streamers are easy/cheap to come by

Monitor Audio Bronze 2 VS Genelec 8030C

The best way to approach this is to ask why you want to change speakers? Whats the objective, what are you not satisfied with? (Hopefully its not purely because the Genelecs measure better). Sometimes there may be other solutions for better sound. Often in room measurement in a compromised space...

The quest for my hyper speaker - Very Large room dilemma

Sometimes its hard to find a reliable local "expert". Often they dont really know what they are doing and/or are trying to peddle snake oil products for maximum profit. OP is on right track as ASR is much better source of knowledge with lots of true experts.

$30K Budget - On the quest for my "end game" speaker

Measurement is the start, make sure its not broken and is fit for purpose. Then listening is critical for our individual preferences, and we have to listen by whatever means we can - stores, shows, demos, friends etc. How else is the op supposed to do it? Might not be the perfect scientific...

McIntosh MC462 Stereo Amplifier Review (by ErinsAudioCorner.com)

Im with Erin - I want one! Just have to find some inefficient speakers to match with it lol I admire the performance, the quality etc. If that means people believe I have no sense, so be it

HeadAmp Gilmore Lite Mk2 Review (headphone amp)

Dont fall for head-fi hype, been a member there since circa 2006 and seen it all before. Spend the money on a reference/instrument grade amp and compare the difference. Headphone amps have been a solved problem for a while now, better off exploring eq/dsp etc.

JBL 7 Series vs. Genelec The Ones

Yeah, then you look at kali in8 and Kali sub. If it is loud enough for your listening space, half the price again and more than good enough. The point source experience from the Genelec Ones is the big difference to the JBL and others for me. Some are sensitive to it, some not so much...
