Oh, and somewhat more seriously -- and on point -- I'd be concerned as to the root cause of one diode in (presumably a full wave bridge) suddenly immolating, were it mine. Perhapsjust one of those things (truly random event). Perhaps just a sketchy single component. Perhaps dangerously...
