I occasionally turn off RoomPerfect just to compare. My room is not listenable without room correction. Room correction will not correct subtleties in the DAC. It has a lot to do with the bass though.

Room Correction is worth at least $1000-2000. Also, HDMI ARC is very convenient to use. I will always prefer Lyngdorf over BluOS though.

I strongly recommend having 4 cores, so one can 1-2 can handle 1-2 zones of audio, 1 can do Roon operations, and still 1-2 left for the NAS. Also, I would not have SSD cache. All drives should be SSDs.

You may want to give RoomPerfect a try. It uses a different approach and it does not target a particular curve. It tries to fix the room without fixing the response of the speakers.
