FWIW I use my old V30 as streamer in my guest room with analog out to a pair of Kali LP-6. Sounds terrific. V50 used or refurbished is soooo cheap it's hard to argue against if MQA is what you want.

We make our choices. The days when I had to root my phone and use Titanium Backup to save my data I don't miss a bit. And the people I know who lost their data/contacts/photos when they lost their phones are all iphone people who elected not to use cloud backup.

Installing Roon Server on my five year old Lenovo was plug and play, no candles, no headstands. Audirvana as I recall was also straight forward. RME drivers occasionally get an update (none these days essential but that's hardly difficult.

I used his debloat tool for my Roon Core install on my Lenovo laptop and it did no harm, has been running great.

Right. Still spoilt for choice. Don't think too hard . My balanced Schitt Modius in the den has no volume control which in some cases is kinda annoying (but no issues when using Roon as indicated).
