Yup, that's why I don't use the high outs of the dbx drive rack, I roll the 708s off and just use the dbx to control the subs.

The Benchmark can do it also, as long as its not the DAC3 B which has fixed output and no volume knob. All other Benchmark DAC3s (L, HGC and DX) would work fine as well for volume control via XLR outs.

Hi and thanks!!! My room is fairly small as well approx. 14.5 x 11.5. However, this is my voice over room as well, so it's highly treated - for my taste a tad too dead, but works nicely and I'm used to it now. No room correction. The 420's are spaced about 7.5 feet apart, about 1 foot or so...

I love the 420's more and more everyday.. enjoying them right now as I get ahead on some work..

In 2000, I had the 5 channel version: 1075 I believe was the model, loved it, sold it to a friend in 2011 and he still has / uses it.

Don't know about consensus, but for me, I prefer the KH420. Plus, for me.. I can't get past the look of the Genny.
