Spidif/Toslink has aged badly and has become a relic. In the meantime USB tech has evolved at a quick clip and become quasi universal. Whenever I read about Spidif/Toslink it is usually about problems, rarely solutions.

I would audition/try Aria 906, KEF R3, Dali Rubicon 2. ...but the Revels are excellent speakers, practically unknown in the EU because of eye watering shipping and customs)
