Yes I'm doing the same with the IR extender, that's the only solution for function. The quality of the included remote is still trash. In your hand it feels like a pile junk.

The metal remote only works on the DAC's. The Pre90 is a different remote. I have that metal remote for my EX5 and it also works on my D90SE. Its a way nicer feeling remote, same performance. I even tried to swap the Pre90 remote guts to the metal remote but its completely different.

In regards to the miserable remote control for the Pre90, I have been using an IR repeater, but now I have programmed a sofabaton U1 remote control to the pre90. You have to use the learning function and learn what buttons from the pre90 remote that you actually need. Big warning on the...

I'm running LS50's in my bedroom with a CCA, Emotiva XDA-2 DAC an Aiyima A07 amp. Sounds great. The Aiyima a07 has been my favorite amp for the LS50's even though it costs next to nothing.

My wifi router was about 2ft from the extractor and giving periodic static pops. Almost like a record player. It was difficult to diagnose but I relocated the router to the other side of the house and all is well.

I'm doing it right now but I didn't reverse the phase. It sounds incredible and it's worth the trouble

I'm still waiting for it to arrive. It reached the US on December 9th from China and I still have not received it.

I'm waiting for an hdmi audio > I2S extractor to do this very thing with a Sony x800 player and a D90SE. I'll let you know if it works. I should have the part any day now.
