I gave PGGB a go last year and really couldn't understand why anyone would use it. To my ears, 16/44.1 files upsampled in PGGB sounded pretty much identical when upsampled in Sony's Audio Studio. And in any event, 16/44.1 already sounds absolutely fine. Mani.

I believe I can hear differences where 'regular' measurements suggest they shouldn't be audible. BUT... There's no getting around null differences, as measured by DeltaWave. If the difference between 2 files is -185dB, there's not a cat's chance in hell that any DAC on the planet would 'react'...

Sorry, very quick reply for now... Once set up (via CueMix), the MOTU does not have to remain connected to a PC - it stores the settings internally. I use a SOtM sMS-200 streamer as a Roon Endpoint with my MOTU. But if you want to use the MOTU as a recording device also, then you'll need a PC...
