My topping l30/e30 are working great for my XS. Plenty of headroom. I listen on -9 gain, no eq. They take less power than my 6xx.

I don’t think there is much else in the class of the DX3 Pro+. It is a good choice for many use cases. Isn’t the L30\E30 better than that unit for IEMs? Higher signal to noise ratio in the amp and you can use the -9db gain. Maybe I am wrong, haven’t reviewed the DX3 Pro+ very closely. I...

You are talking closed back vs open back so yea, a bit of a difference. Honestly though, I have both those headphones and my other one is the Edition XS, which blows both of them out of the water. Even without EQ. Granted they are $500.

Eq to the oratory1990 settings. That will bump the bass up.
