Here's Bruichladdich - better known as "Gus."

When he scents pheasant he becomes more cat-like than dog:

Nala became a popular name for pets after Lion King became a hit.

He has been mentioned quite a few times here, but let me introduce Phantom again.

As @muslhead 's, another Coon, now two years and half old... Was almost hitting 11Kg, but went down to 10 after he underwent a surgery.

At three months (first time at home):

Call him the Speaker Slayer. His third (already!) victim was few days back, when he scratched (I mean: pierced) one of the A500's woofer. Hopefully, repair was cheap and easy.

Great to hear you have pheasant there, wish we still had them, fine eating and hunting with a Browning Light 12, Belgium,
Beautiful dog also

Thanks, funny thing is I've been vegetarian for 30+ years :D so it's field trial competitions rather than hunting - but I have no problem with others eating the pheasant though.

We actually think he is related to Edward Gorey's doubtful guest - get up from the table and he's in your seat.

Dog logic tells him you sit at the table and you get food. Makes sense to him. He also has other characteristics of the doubtful guest such as laying across doorways and as a puppy would steal things from the house and run outside into the garden with them. A talented fashion designer too, shoes took on an open-toed look.

The Doubtful Guest even has a piece of music written about him/her - The Hapless Child and Other Inscrutable Stories.
