Pretty sure you can't get any better for the price. I have the KH 80 DSP and i love them.Neumann KH120 terrific speakers for the price

That is really low cost-wise. How about these? They push all the right buttons and have lots of cool tech to talk about.I am thinking it may make sense to buy a few budget but popular speakers to test. Or alternatively members buying and donating them to be tested.
