97dB, for any impedance. Now that Amir's settled on 10Vrms, you can always add 11dB to the 2.83V numbers.

I don't think piano actually does. Walnut gloss is a different story though!

But is the distortion from the tweeter though? Could it be bad xover design and/or components?

They are both Harman speakers. I am sure there is a lot of cross-pollination in Revel, JBL, and Infinity designs. They might even employ some of the same R&D personnel.

Every review I've read about these, and the entire Infinity Reference series, praises them - I happen to own both the 162s and 152s, and constantly recommend to people look for an inexpensive, high performing speaker...

Only personally takes too much time. Do lot of woodwork with real wood. I love shellac more than lacquer
