Dear fellow members!

Can somebody suggest what to do (aside from sending one for repair) with my 2nd hand bought Pro-Ject pre S2 digital dac with pulled micro USB slot from the unit as shown on the attached photos?
Is it something there to do for a guy with no soldering skills or not?
Thanks in advance
Vicca

Warranty doesn't matter - it's mechanical damage.
What cost? It depends if the PCB pads are damaged or not. If not - cost is min. approx. 15 USD (new port + soldering, in Poland ;)).

Did you try to power it using the USB-B connector? The unit will accept power from USB-B with audio input from S/PDIF, so you could power it this way instead of using micro-USB

Thanks for answers to all members.
Meanwhile, I've had my DAC fixed at my very skilled friend who re-soldered micro USB input to the motherboard. During the work he experienced enormous difficulties to approach the exact place for this meticulous work and luckily succeeded! It was a hard job even for a skillful technician. Particularly problematic was that 6,3V cap right to front of it. Pro-Ject would probably take off the whole motherboard and replaced it.
Here are some photos of it taken during the work. I find them maybe useful for those interested in modding or fixing various issues.
