Popular very low efficiency headphones?

Yes, the only recent inefficient ones (dB/V) I am aware of are the Hifiman Susvara and HE6SE.
I suspect this is because of improved linearity.
They can make very efficient ones as well so is on purpose.

It is very efficient. And with closed back, it nicely gets rid of the fan noise in my analyzer. It is comfortable for long, multi-hour use that I put it through. Sound quality is OK. I don't ever get the "wow, that sounds great." I am interested in a higher quality closed back headphone. For now, for the money it is a great bargain.
