This is my girl Lump, I took her in when my friend had to find homes for a few cats about 8 years ago due to a bad split with his wife, and my first ever kitty just had to be put down due to failing kidneys at the age of 21.
This pic is from about 2 years ago, she currently is at or near 20 years old, and is starting to show her age, but still quite healthy from what the vet tells me, though she is missing many teeth and gets mostly canned food now.

Besides cats, I grew up in a house with many dogs, and had a painted turtle for 27 years that recently passed unexpectedly, Iggy the Green Iguana, a female Jackson's Chameleon named Cathy, Buddy the Bearded Dragon, about 8 Green Anoles, hamsters, rabbits, and a white lab mouse that escaped the shipping crate that I was delivering to a hospital lab, he jumped out of the van into the parking lot at my workplace, I caught him, didn't know what to do with him, so took him home and made him a nice house in a spare 10 gallon fish tank, and Mortimer lived happily with me and my first cat for about 5 years.

This is Edward - he was a racing greyhound and we rehomed him 4 years ago. When he left the track he was a nightmare - very reactive to other dogs. He was helped by one of the UKs best dog behaviourists.

Edward is now the most sociable, loving companion you could wish for. He’s learned recall and we can let him off his lead. We are really proud of his progress - very lucky to have him in our lives .

We had two retired greyhounds. Absolutely lovely couch potatoes and we loved them. Such sweet dogs.

My Norman. One of 2 Frenchie's I have but this guy is like allergic to everything, always having some kind of issue..needs his nose buttered every day along with hand cooked meals to keep him healthy. And this dog loves me for it..he adores me. Man's best friend.

All rescues, left to right: Brooklyn, a female 7 yo Lab/Beagle mix; Vinnie, a male 4 yo Shi-tzu/Schnauzer mix; and "The Alpha" Frankie, a female 9 yo Dachshund mix. We refer to them as, The Mob.

My wife and I just returned home from a trip to Idaho. Of course we had to bring our boy, Marty. He liked it so much we’re selling our house in Southern California and moving there.

Seems to be a lot of that leaving California thing going around these days. Beautiful pooch and a great picture.

Boris thankfully is still with us and much loved. The only pet we have had and I actively disliked was a Parakeet called Spike. When he was out of his cage he would dive bomb everyone in the room and then crap on the light fittings. Spike had a feather sticking up on his head an avian terrorist.

The effects of severe sleep deprivation take their toll on this poor creature, who is forced to survive on barely twenty-two hours rest every single day of the week, punctuated only by brisk, fourty-minute minute walks and two, dry-cereal meals.

Such a hectic lifestyle exacts a brutal toll – this beast-of-burden ages at nearly seven times the rate of homo-sapiens.
