Here they are: https://www.audiosciencereview.com/...ee-hx-ai-dsee-ultimate-dsee-extreme-do.14832/Can you tell us with which measurements you can claim Sony DSEE HX adds or throw away something in the sound ? and what does Sony adds or throw based on these measurements ?
I guess DSEE HX does something as I can catch it, but as usual this should be able to be measured here, the universal kingdom of measurements.
So I would conclude .. that DSEE HX is a pure benefit for any walkman user, with no negative point for hires & dsd files.Impact on lossless is nonexistent. It has no effect.
I guess you could or for $4200 you could do what just about everyone else does and buy or stream lossless. Up to you.So I would conclude .. that DSEE HX is a pure benefit for any walkman user, with no negative point for hires & dsd files.
DSEE HX can just make more valuable "old" stuff to listen. Or just deactivate this function and leave as it is like for 100% of other DAPs on the market....
As the old WM1A (with MrWalkman One Firmware) is already an impressive DAP compared to my FIIO M17/M11, A&K Kann Alpha, Hiby R6Pro, with a load of new powerful capacitors, with sensitive IEM/Headphones, it should be even more impressive....
Funny to be told this, when I am 'the reason' why DSEE HX is free in the first place.Try DSEE HX yourself for free in Windows.

It's not the 'AI' version in Walkmans though, nor is it the 'Extreme' CPU intensive version!

I love those old tape players whether National or Sony. And I guess this feeling is shared widely, otherwise there wouldn't be the tape emulation in walkmans today or tape spinning emulation apps for android.I have a very rare National (Panasonic) Way
