    ATC speakers / Monitors

Or the larger surface area of the woofer section makes them more effortless sounding (less compression, distortion etc). I think the woofers are the weakest link of the 3-way ATC speakers, the short voice coils doesn't helps here, they don't have very high power handling. Probably that's one...

    You mean psychological, right? ;)

    Streamer connection on Genelec 8361

With digital input (or analog input with DSP) active speakers (like a Genelec) you will lose bitperfectness anyway, because the internal processing of the speaker works in the digital domain that requires specific resampling of the digital data (or digitizing the analog signal). So no matter how...

    Streamer connection on Genelec 8361

Not true, because the SHD Studio is Roon ready. The other aspects you mentioned are subjective, so it's your choice.

For native AES/EBU output, a MiniDSP SHD Studio for example.

    ATC speakers / Monitors

You don't get the slam factor and dynamic of the lower midrange/upper bass of a 15" woofer with the SCM50.

    ATC speakers / Monitors

Previously, the stand-mount SCM20 was only available in passive version, now there is an active version too, the SCM20ASL. That's.

    ATC speakers / Monitors

I don't think the manufacturer claimed any innovation in relation to this speaker. So there is nothing to blame on them about this. It's just a typical ATC speaker, with some differences compared to the other models.

But this is a special edition, not the original SCM20. Similar things already happened before at ATC.

Horns sound this way? Ribbons sound that way?

Ears tell how it sounds to the listener, measurements shows how it looks like when the sound is converted to visualization and/or numbers.

Horns sound this way? Ribbons sound that way?

These and there is another thing with horns that need to be mentioned I think. That's the dispersion pattern which is usually narrow or narrower than direct radiating (or shallow waveguided) speakers. Some may like it because the sound interacts less with the room but some don't like it becuase...

Horns sound this way? Ribbons sound that way?

In theory yes, but in reality, it's not fully possible because any type of speaker or used material have it's own sound signature/coloration. Some (or some combinations) have more, some have less obvious coloration(s).

Where is the Flaw in most Multichannel Preamps/ AVRs?

If 7.1 channel is enough for you, then the HTx is enough, just set the output format to PCM on the source/player device so this latter will decode.

Three very different amps. Which to choose?

Not necessarily, but we can never know. Like a previous poster showed us the calculation result of 322 Watts for this speaker. Why?

Three very different amps. Which to choose?

The question is, can the F208 withstand 322W (or 350W according to the factory data) even in the short term? The answer is: According to the Unibox simulation (with passive filters, like the F208 have) of 2x SB23NBACS45-8, it's not. More precisely it depends on the frequency as we can see, but...
