Are these differences adjusted for a delay and a clock speeds? If not for both, then it is possible that the worse DAC has its clock more in sync with ADC than the other one.
Official SoX development stopped with version 14.4.2 which was released on February 22, 2015.
But there are unofficial extension you can try:

@pma Could you repeat some measurements using a capacitor with a smaller capacitance, that would be a representative for common well-designed loudspeakers?
I would vote for not generating that graph in new reviews. The rating excelent/very good/fair/poor can be written into the graph with 1kHz measurement.
AP settings: output impedance 20 Ohm and input impedance 100 kOhm.
Might not work so well with all devices.
@amirm Could you retest it with 100 Ohm output and 20 kOhm input please?
Recording from 4ch USB input of Flex is for monitoring DSP outputs (before they are sent to DAC).
But if only 2 output channels are used and no eq is applied on input, then other two output channels can monitor/record unchanged inputs.
PS5 do not work with miniDSP Flex for me.
I'm using an HDMI audio extractor for this purpose:

I chose this one, because it is capable of switching two sources and it has...
Pics of Flex´s internals were shown here in the comments:

BTW, I checked/measured channels 3&4 on my Flex using REW and USB sound card Audioprobe Spartan A and distortion there was equal as is on channels...
