    THD+N gets about 1db better at 49MHz. I didn't notice a big dependency of THD vs temperature.

    Before buying a reel of ES9039Q2M I decided to test 5pcs chips with the particular date code(not the same that I used for protos). The result is a bit better than 5pcs in protos. MLCK=49MHz THD+N L, R / MLCK=24MHz THD L, R 1 -125.9, -125.9 / -146, -146 2 -125.3, -125.3 / -147, -147 3 -125.7...

    I just tested 9039S 1000; 100; and 50Hz with AP SYS2522 and I got -119.3db; -118.5db and -117.3db. SYS2522 loopback has 118.4db; 116.7db and 115.3db.

    It seems not dither is a matter but REW gen itself. Usually, I use another sine gen but today I run REw's one and got THD -146db on the same sample! Completely vanished H7 for instance.

    well, I guess no, 24-32 bits isn't large dither and isn't high-frequency at all because it is applied before the interpolator.

    i.e. if imagine that aliens give you an ideal analyzer, the DAC rather has THD+N <-129db@1k, unlike AP showing that, and all other top DACs, as -124db :cool: PS: I want to let see that idea @JohnPM because I am an active REW user.
