I've upped the power supply to my Douk H7 to a 48v 5a brick, and this has resulted in a nice increase in oomph at higher volumes. Im pretty happy with my Douk H7 and H8 setup, and ive just added a T80 tone controller.
Thanks for that. Yes i presumed it would be required as part of the signal path. I still might pull the trigger, but as this is a desktop set up im big on aesthetics.

I've retired my H7 and have reverted back to a SMSL AO200, and have welcomed the return of that much warmer sound.

What are we seeing here? Is there two chips or just one? Is it a true "balanced" design. Or does balanced just mean the XLR outputs.

I read this thread before buying these second hand. The seller was willing to let me test them in his setup. I played the Eva Cassidy song from the original post. Speakers were on stands with foam.
