My re-engineered desktop stands

With my odd placement of my 43" monitor and the way I sit I need my Kali Audio IN-8 V2's to sit higher than normal.

So I bought a pair of stands that are steel and had my friend tig weld an extension to them to clear the top of my monitor.
Then I sprayed them with 4 coats of black rubber coating.
I knew that I would have to angle them down more than what the stand could do so I used a couple large rubber bumpers.
I also drilled holes in the steel plate to attach safety straps to it and these will attach to the existing screws on the back of the monitors.
I will be drilling holes in my desk to secure the stands.
This weekend I will be redoing my desk as I have a custom computer I just finished building.
I also took apart my new 1500va/1500w UPS and painted it white as well as building a rolling cart for it to put under the desk.

Nice Job!!!
I was originally going to put my IN8s inside these vintage JBLs...until I found they still worked and sounded great.
Stands were, like yours, a real challenge and effort:

Hahaha don't know if I should say that the dog is so cute or feel sorry about the TV.
But you do have some very nice equipment in there!

The only thing I dislike is all the Leafs paraphernalia in the home of a Prairie boy (as I am originally from the Peg)!

Well. Setup is done. New computer installed. Speakers installed. A weekend worth of work for me.
If the word "Overkill" comes into your head LOL well that's my nickname in the DIY audio world.
Wretched excess is beautiful!
BTW they sound pretty good right off the get go. Unfortunately I forgot to set the dipswitches but I will get to that tomorrow or some time.
The Presonus Temblor 10 packs a pretty heavy kick. It's a bit woofy if that makes sense but after some adjustments it will serve my needs just fine.
