While I think these three are the best, if I were going by "favorite," I'd replace the last two with Lita Ford and Janis Joplin.

But Diamanda Galás is definitely worth checking out, though I wouldn't really class her as rock except perhaps the album she did with John Paul Jones of Led Zep ...

It is a mind-blowingly excellent album! One of the most curious pairings in rock history - but it works.
Just saw her for the first time, Haunting, John is great on the song,

I always thought JPJ should have brought Diamanda along to the Led Zeppelin reunion thing a few years ago. Plant was clearly not into it and didn't have the vocal range any more anyway. Maybe with Greg Saunier on drums. Now that would have been interesting ... !
