Hello,

Are people on this forum who have experience with one of those amplifiers.
Is the company a good company.
Are the amplifiers really that good like the review suggest?

Check out the (subjectivist) audiophile forum, https://www.audioshark.org/. Several posters there have comments on Coda amplifiers, (quite positive, FWIW).

These are amazing amps, i have the 16.0 and have never experienced better amp! The low noisefloor and possible whole construction gives an ease, airyness, and naturalness not heard before

I can add this as having had their amplifiers for over ten years.
The build quality is exceptional using military grade components providing end game legacy amplification units.
The TS and 15.5 were great amplifiers but no comparison to their current replacements the No 8 and 16 respectively.
The noise floor is that much more quiet.
Someone mentioned why buy the 16.
I had that same very question until I switched the No 8 out.
It was like turning the lights on.
There is a 350% difference in amplifier capacitance.
The 16 is amazingly quick and the build quality is like industrial art.
The only amps close are a Gryphon or Pass.
In my humble opinion the Coda is better than the Pass.
Both Coda amplifiers have that warm lush feel of a tube with their use of FETs.
I used to run Ayon’s so I have a pretty fair idea on how good tubes are.
They are probably one of the best values in high end audio amplification today.
On top of that they run extremely cool I think around 105 degrees F.
Unlike the old Krell’s you could have breakfast on them.
Someone also mentioned D’Agostino amps they might look prettier but that’s where it ends and they are only AB NOT class A.
The 16.0 will out perform anything in their lineup.
If you want Coda’s best then move to their System Amplifier S250 for about 1/2 of the D’Agostino.
They also come with a ten year warranty five years transferable.

Not the same animal it’s like comparing Radio Shack to them.

I have the Coda No.8 for about a year now. It's the V1, so "only" 150 wpc @ 8 ohm, but the first 18 watts are class A. Yet it remains cool to the touch. The amount of current the amp can deliver is ridiculous, so its stable no matter what speaker you hook up. I have to agree with the opinions posted here. Its build like a tank. The noise floor is very low. It has a very smooth, grainless presentation. If it is worth the 7000 euro? That is subjective..

It's 7100 with meters 6100 USD dollars without.
First off Coda started with three former Pass employees at Threshold
IMO opinion they build amplifiers every bit as Pass and better.
The 16.0 is probably 40% better than the 8.
The eight only has 80,000 whereas the 16 is 280,000.

Liked they are loved by anyone who has one.
They just don’t spend the advertising money like the others which is reflected in their selling price.
They have been in business for over 30 years and probably the best secret in high end audio.

looking into them they seem pretty nice. Cheaper than Pass Labs
I think Eric is a better designer than Nelson.
No smoke and mirrors.
I refer to the 16.0 as the Gordie Howe of amplifiers.

Where I live 7300 euros without meters.

The local dealer is shafting you.
7300 Euros is 7454 USD.
It should be under 7000.00 Euros 6960 to be exact.

No, he isn't shafting me. I paid 4300.
The 7300 euro is the current asking price. But I do not know Coda's price policies, nor their MSRP if there are any in place.
Maybe it "should" be 6960 euros as you mention...(seems you mixed up the with/without meters prices...with meters it is even 8300 euros today ;-) ).
Seems shortages and the increased value of the USD & logistics cost have driven the price up.
By the way, how should I interprete the 40% improvement for the 16.0 over the no.8?
