The best movie I ever "accidentally" watched was The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. I was searching for a music documentary and based on my Netflix search criteria this showed up.

The worst movie I ever accidentally watched was The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. The last two segments of that movie were, IMO, terrible.

“Return of the Living Dead” accidentally crossed my eyes.

I laughed a lot during that one.

The best part was watching it in a theater and actually throwing spoons. Hard to do in a covid world.

We have a few theaters that do more than just movies; think MST3K, Rocky Horror Picture Show, etc.
I've not been to any of them, but my favorite local theater does some of these. You're post makes me wonder if they do or have done one for The Room.

They've got a killer beer selection, so that helps any kind of fun whether it's just watching a movie or throwing spoons around. :)

Yes, definitely check if there is a The Room showing. It was fun when everybody was throwing spoons and doing weird stuff.

Worst:. The Creature Wasn't Nice, an old Leslie Nielson picture.., it's so bad it's almost good

Storyline
When the spaceship Vertigo stops to explore a previously unknown planet, the crew finds an unrecognized dollop of protoplasm and takes it aboard ship to return it to earth for analysis. On board, lifeform expands into an oozing person-eating monster which communicates primarily by means of a Vegas lounge act. The crew is gobbled up one after another until the two surviving crewmembers come up with a plan. Written by Jim Beaver <[email protected]>

Best:. The Adventures Of The Baron Munchausen,. A fantastic film by Terry Gilliam with cameos from Robin Williams

Some of my guilty pleasures:

Idiocracy
Starship Troopers
Bloodsport
The Signal
Top Gun
Elf
Tried watching Starship Troopers again for free on Tubi i think, just couldn't sit through it. I was able to sit through Top Gun though, ended up liking another movie called Iron Eagle a bit better (even though it was unrealistic)

One that has stuck in my head since I saw it in the 70s/80s was Zardoz. It was so bad, like so bad I couldn't believe it.

Stonados was accidentally watched by the boys and I got sucked in because it was soooo bad.

There's a bar in San Diego that has a plaque on the wall with the text "Sleazy bar scene in Top Gun was filmed here."

I really enjoy The Delta Force with Chuck Norris and Lee Marvin. I know it's disgracefully bad, but I find it oddly entertaining.
In an upcoming as yet untitled movie, a giant meteoroid is speeding toward Earth on a collision course. Attempts to deflect it with nuclear warheads have failed, and all life on earth is facing doomsday. Just hours before impact, Chuck Norris uses his belt to bind together all his Oscar statuettes and Golden Globes, and round-house kicks the bundle into outer space with such force that the meteoroid is deflected enough to miss hitting the Earth, and it passes harmlessly by. Amid the rejoicing, many theories are advanced around the world regarding the cause of the miraculous last-minute aversion. But Chuck Norris just shrugs, adjusts his hat, and makes himself a new belt from leather he happens to have lying around.

The movie started out as a script based on H.G. Well's novel "In the Days of the Comet". However, once Norris was cast, the socialism and polyamorous doings in Well's novel just had to be discarded. So the script was re-written such that the meteoroid misses the Earth entirely rather than passes through our atmosphere.

Favorite "bad" movie, which I don't think is actually bad - The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, so over the top, I love the whole thing.
Worst movie - The Dead Don't Die, just a sinking pile of a crap movie, with such a big name cast, it was shocking how lame it was.

In an upcoming and as yet untitled movie starring Jack N and Woody A, a leak of the big reveal scene goes like:

Jack: Who is she to you? <Slap>
Woody: My wife.
Jack: Who is she? <Slap>
Woody: My ex-wife's adopted daughter.
Jack: <Slap>
Woody: My wife.
Jack: <Slap>
Woody: My ex-wife's adopted daughter. My wife and my ex-wife's adopted daughter.

Best bad movie ever: Braindead or Dead Alive
I'll need to find that one, tanks.
Worst Bad: Gotti (2018). The bad sort of campy (unironic), stiff performances, incoherent plot.
Couldn't believe Travolta let it be released. Pure garbage.

Motel Hell, my favorite bad movie.
Farmer Vincent turns people into sausage that he sells.
A great big laugh fest.

The two worst movies I've seen were so bad I can't remember the names. One was a typical Greek Gods on Olympus turkey where you could see jet contrails in the background and hear Air Bus A300's landing. The more interesting one historically was a Western starring a then verrrrry young Jack Nicholson. He must have gone to acting school after that one and before Five Easy Pieces. I have honestly never seen a worse performance. Jaw dropping.
I wonder if the Nicholson film you saw is "The Shooting" which he played in and also produced (or maybe directed). He was later in a couple westerns and both bad. "Goin South" may have been the one you saw as he was incredibly bad in that film.

In the same year he was making the Shooting, he had TV guess appearances in Dr. Kildaire, the Andy Griffith Show, and the Guns of Will Sonnett. I've seen the Griffith episode.

Here is a clip from Dr. Kildaire which also has William Shatner in it. Shatner was originally offered the Dr. Kildaire role, but turned it down.

Yeah, there's campy that is ironic, wry and deliberate. Then there's campy that seems to be entirely unintended, unironic and borne out of incompetence.
