Are there any low priced (under £1000) power amps that measure good?

I’ve been looking through the stereo amp reviews and it seems a lot of them don’t measure great compared to headphone amps and the ones that do are really expensive.

Many measure good enough relative to the THD of any speakers on the market.

Since I guess you're in UK: You should look at any assembled Ncore amps from BoXem Audio, Audiophonics, Nord, Rouge Audio or Apollon.

For Class AB, you may get NAD C275 or Rotel RB1582 for around 1000£ depending of dealers.

Well, headphone amps only need to produce a couple of watts and loudspeaker amps sometime needs to produce hundreds. Is it reasonable to expect that they'd always have the same performance?

Anyway, more to the thrust of your question, there are lots of stereo amps for less than a kiloquid that are audibly transparent.
